Magnetic field therapy is a treatment method where, above all, patients with orthopedic problems, such as bone fractures or joint problems (e.g. arthrosis) are exposed to a magnetic field. According to isolated patient reports, it might come to slightly increased problems at the beginning of the magnetic field therapy. This, however, is only temporarily the case and merely points to the fact that metabolic processes take place in the body. Serious, long-lasting adverse effects are not known. In the ARTICO Sports Clinic, a low-frequency pulsating (changing) magnetic field is generated in a tube that can also be individually adjusted in terms of maximum strength. The duration of the treatment is mostly between 10 and 45 minutes. The pulsating magnetic field causes a slight but sensible and pleasant heating of the spot treated. Even a slight prickle is possible. The magnetic field therapy stimulates the metabolism. Improved oxygen saturation of the blood, an improved lymph flow and a stimulated metabolism function of the somatic cells (important for purification) are the effects of this treatment, by means of which inflammations and pain are diminished. |
